We recommend washing yak wool products by hand in cold or lukewarm water, as hot water causes shrinkage or loss of shape. We do not recommend washing in a washing machine.
First, turn the product inside out and soak in cold water with a mild detergent - best for wool and cashmere.
Wash by gently wringing without twisting until dirt is removed. Remove from water after dirt is removed. Then rinse several times in cold water. After rinsing, gently wring again without twisting.
A dry towel can also be used to absorb excess water. Alternatively, wrap the washed product in a towel to prevent deformation. Wring repeatedly without twisting and do not hang.
After washing, the product should be laid out on a flat surface. Do not hang or stretch until the product is completely dry.
